Mary Lake is a serene body of water in the heart of Muskoka, just minutes from Huntsville, Ontario. It has a great cottager's association whose mandate is "To protect the natural environmental health and beauty of Mary Lake and the surrounding community."
A mid-sized Muskoka lake, it's 1061 hectares with 20.5 kms of shoreline and a mean depth of 25 meters. Water level is controlled by an MNR owned and operated dam at Port Sydney and water levels are governed by the Muskoka River Water Management Plan.
There were many sawmills operating at the turn of the century, the largest around the lake was owned by Sydney Smith after whom the town was named. With crystal clear waters and pristine shorelines, it offers a range of outdoor activities including swimming, fishing, and boating. Surrounded by lush forests, it provides a sense of peaceful seclusion while still offering convenience. Whether you're looking for a cozy cottage or a spacious waterfront home, Mary Lake has a diverse range of properties available.
